8 persoons vakantie huis in Skals

We had a wonderful week with the family in July at the Hjarbæk Fjord, near Skals (DK). Every day we had sun, no rain and that at 20 to 23 degrees Celsius. Ideal for us! There were five of us in Denmark, including three children (10-15 years). We were able to enjoy the heated indoor swimming pool (29.5 degrees Celsius). We did not use the sauna. I think the price/quality ratio is moderate (6-) and the warmth/hospitality is in contrast to what we have always experienced in Flanders. What was great? • The location of the holiday home and the view over the lake is fantastic. • The indoor swimming pool, of course! • The carport is very pleasant (keeps the car cool). • The large veranda incl. 2-person hammock. What was disappointing?! • You don't see anyone on arrival and departure (in Denmark you must deal with Belvilla). You receive a very brief explanation about the house. • The beds are mediocre. We slept in the left bedroom on a three-quarter bed (120 or 140 cm wide). o There was a topper, but no mattress (!!) underneath (I have never seen that before). o The duvet cover (from the linen package, which is recommended because of the towels and tea towels) for a double bed does not fit well. The fitted sheet (from the linen package) does not fit well either. o Sleeping with two people on a three-quarter bed in such a small space has proven difficult. That was disappointing. • The maintenance of the holiday home is mediocre: o Worn chairs (inside and outside). o Broken swimming pool door. o Bathroom roller blinds without cord. • Many of the instructions/descriptions in the house are incorrect: o The information about sorting waste is very confusing. The two (!) different instructions in the house differ from the containers present at various central locations. o The instructions for the sauna also do not correspond to reality. o The television does not work properly. We were unable to watch regular TV programs. Good to know • Lynderup Strand 10 is located on a gravel path, approximately 1.2 km from the paved road. • Bring your own garbage bags, rubbish bags and bags for green waste (there is nothing in the house). • A small washing machine is available (not described anywhere).

We hebben met het gezin een heerlijke week gehad in juli aan de Hjarbæk Fjord, bij Skals (DK). Elke dag zon, geen regen en dat bij 20 tot 23 graden Celsius. Ideaal voor ons! We waren met z'n vijven in Denemarken, waaronder drie kinderen (10-15 jaar). We hebben kunnen genieten van het verwarmde binnenzwembad (29,5 graden Celsius). De sauna hebben we niet gebruikt. Ik vind de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding matig (6-) en de warmte/gastvrijheid staat in contrast met wat we altijd in Vlaanderen hebben meegemaakt. Wat was geweldig? • De ligging van het vakantiehuis en het uitzicht over het meer is fantastisch. • Het binnenzwembad natuurlijk! • De carport is erg prettig (houdt de auto koel). • De grote veranda incl. hangmat voor 2 personen. Wat viel tegen?! • Bij aankomst en vertrek zie je niemand (in Denemarken heb je te maken met Belvilla). Je krijgt een hele korte uitleg over het huis. • De bedden zijn matig. Wij sliepen in de linker slaapkamer op een driekwart bed (120 of 140 cm breed). o Er lag een topper, maar geen matras (!!) eronder (dat heb ik nog nooit eerder gezien). o Het dekbedovertrek (uit het linnenpakket, dat wordt aanbevolen vanwege de handdoeken en theedoeken) voor een tweepersoonsbed past niet goed. Het hoeslaken (uit het linnenpakket) past ook niet goed. o Met twee personen op een driekwart bed slapen in zo'n kleine ruimte is lastig gebleken. Dat viel tegen. • Het onderhoud van het vakantiehuis is matig: o Versleten stoelen (binnen en buiten). o Kapotte zwembaddeur. o Badkamerrolgordijnen zonder koord. • Veel van de instructies/beschrijvingen in het huis kloppen niet: o De informatie over het scheiden van afval is erg verwarrend. De twee (!) verschillende instructies in het huis verschillen van de containers die op verschillende centrale locaties aanwezig zijn. o De instructies voor de sauna komen ook niet overeen met de werkelijkheid. o De televisie werkt niet goed. We konden geen gewone tv-programma's kijken. Goed om te weten • Lyn
