Dit eiland bevat talloze olijfbomen, cipressen en palmen. De verschillende soorten bomen en planten reiken zelfs tot aan zee, wat een fotogeniek plaatje oplevert. Naast de prachtige groene omgeving staat Corfu bekend om zijn pittoreske dorpjes, fantastische stranden en gastvrije cultuur.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.belvilla.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/05\/Corfu-stad-1096x683.png\" alt=\"Canal d\u2019Amour\" width=\"1096\" height=\"683\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7332\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>1. Corfu stad (Kerkyra)<\/h3>\n<p>Tijdens jouw <a href=\"https:\/\/www.belvilla.nl\/blog\/goedkope-vakantie\/\">vakantie<\/a> op <a href=\"https:\/\/www.belvilla.nl\/vakantiehuis-corfu-griekenland\/?utm_medium=social-p&amp;utm_source=bv-blog-nl&amp;utm_campaign=5-tips-voor-corfu&amp;utm_content=20160614\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Corfu<\/a>, is een bezoek aan Kerkyra een echte aanrader. Deze stad bruist namelijk van de cultuur. De typisch Venetiaanse gebouwen, de smalle straatjes en de oude huisjes met houten luikjes zijn typerende elementen van de stad. Vergeet vooral niet een bezoek te brengen aan het oude en nieuwe fort. Vanaf de forten heb je namelijk een prachtig uitzicht over Kerkyra.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.belvilla.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/05\/Sissi-paleis-1096x683.png\" alt=\"Canal d\u2019Amour\" width=\"1096\" height=\"683\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7333\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>2. Achilleion paleis van Sissi<\/h3>\n<p>In het bergachtige dorpje Gastouri, staat een wereldberoemd paleis boordevol cultuur. De weg ernaartoe is al een <a href=\"https:\/\/www.belvilla.nl\/blog\/bezienswaardigheden-jutland-denemarken\/\">bezienswaardigheid<\/a> op zich, want langs de weg zijn de huizen versierd met prachtige bloemenhagen. Eenmaal daar tref je het Achilleion paleis aan met een enorm landgoed. Het paleis is toegankelijk voor toeristen. Zo kun je bijvoorbeeld de kroonjuwelen en de kleding van keizerin Sissi bewonderen. Let op: alleen de benedenverdieping is toegankelijk.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.belvilla.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/05\/Paleokastritsa-1096x683.png\" alt=\"Canal d\u2019Amour\" width=\"1096\" height=\"683\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7334\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>3. Bezoek de prachtige stranden van Paleokastritsa<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.belvilla.nl\/search\/?filters%5Bcountry_id%5D=83&amp;searchType=COUNTRY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paleokastritsa<\/a>\u00a0is een badplaats aan de westkust van Corfu en staat voornamelijk bekend om zijn prachtige zand- en kiezelstranden. Verscholen tussen de olijfbomen en de cipressen liggen de meest mooie baaitjes. Met een vissersbootje zijn de baaitjes en de verscholen grotten eenvoudig te bereiken. De ideale plek dus om tijdens een zomerdag verkoeling te zoeken.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.belvilla.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/06\/Pantokrator-1096x683.png\" alt=\"Canal d\u2019Amour\" width=\"1096\" height=\"683\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7335\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>4. Beklim de hoogste berg van Corfu<\/h3>\n<p>Met\u00a0900 meter hoogte, is Pantokrator de hoogste berg van Corfu. Eenmaal boven aangekomen, zal je beseffen waarom deze berg ook wel d\u00e9 trots van Corfu genoemd wordt. Na een heftige klim word je namelijk beloond met prachtige vergezichten en een monniken klooster uit de 14e eeuw. Op weg naar de top kom je langs de meest mooie dorpjes, waar het lijkt alsof de tijd even stil heeft gestaan.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.belvilla.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/05\/Canal-dAmour-1096x683.png\" alt=\"Canal d\u2019Amour\" width=\"1096\" height=\"683\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7336\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>5. Ontdek Canal d\u2019Amour in Sidari<\/h3>\n<p>In het noordwesten van Corfu ligt de levendige badplaats Sidari. Hier vind je een prachtig natuurverschijnsel, genaamd \u2018Canal d\u2019Amour\u2019. De omgeving wordt gevormd door verschillende rotsformaties, die verspreid liggen in de helderblauwe zee. Aan de voet van de rotsen liggen verschillende goudgele strandjes.
